HEVER CASTLE AND GARDENS
Hever Castle is a romantic 13th century castle and was home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII´s second wife. Inside the castle are actual books signed and inscribed by Anne Boleyn. The estate was bought by American William Waldorf Astor in 1903, having changed hands many times.
William spent a large investment restoring the castle to it's former beauty. Inside you will find collections of Tudor portraits, furniture, tapestries and other fine works of art are in display.
Set in over 30 acres of gardens that include, an Italian garden, Rose garden and Tudor garden, also yew and water mazes, and herbaceous borders. There is so much to learn about the Tudor times and way of living here. An ideal place for all the family for sights and information.

Why not visit and relive the life of Sir Winston Churchill with a tour within his country home Chartwell near Edenbridge in Kent. Really informed guides will walk you through the rooms, all in period décor from the 1920s and 1930s, which reveal a fascinating insight into the great man's life.
There are books, pictures and photographs, even a packet of those famous cigars left on the table. There are also important sound recordings of Churchill and a collection of memorabilia.
Visitors get to have a peek inside Churchill's studio where he did his paintings and the lovely grounds make an ideal spot for strolling in all seasons. For families, there are special kids' trails to follow and great picnic spots.
